Abstract

|
Acute Lobar Nephronia(ALN) refers to a focal inflammatory process of the renal parenchyma without liquefaction. Because it can produce a mass lesion that may mimic an abscess or tumor both clinically and radiologically, its differential diagnosis
is
very important for proper therapy. Diagnosis of acute lobar nephronia depended ultrasonography and abdominal computed tomography technique. On sonography, it was a solid mass, often with echoamplitude lower than adjacent normal renal cortex. We
could
diagnose the acute lobar nephronia by CT scanning, on which it was a poorly marginated lower density mass that exhibits patch and inhomogenous enhancement after intravenous contrast medium. We reported a case of acute lobar nephronia with the
review of
literatures.
